Means of Production: Shaken or Stirred

in collaboration with Suite ThreeOhSix and Feastly
Means of Production is an experiential cocktail that explores the relationship of mixology, movement and making. Guests will enter another dimension of time and motion, where shaking, stirring and smashing are transformed into an experimental choreography.
Stimulating all the senses, Means of Production engages 3 of New York City’s top bartenders to mix, shake or stir their respective, classic cocktails while under blacklight motion capture.
with:
Chris Lowder (Nomad and Amor y Amargo)
Jack McGarry (Dead Rabbit and Tales of the Cocktail International Bartender of the Year)
Dessert Menu by Calva
Part contemporary dance, part cocktail party, guests will not only witness a ballet of mixology, but, in their drinking, become part of the performance as their consumption becomes the background of this otherworldly tableau vivant.
Dress code is strictly limited to black.

League of Kitchens: Umami Edition

Immersive Culinary Workshops with League of Kitchens

Join us for a true culinary adventure!

The League of Kitchens (www.leagueofkitchens.com) is an immersive culinary adventure in NYC where immigrants teach intimate cooking workshops in their homes, and participants encounter a new culture, cuisine, and neighborhood with every experience.

This participatory experience starts with an interactive cooking lesson and leads into a celebratory dinner. Participants help cook the meal, contribute their own ideas and personal stories to the conversation, and help clean up afterwards.  Through this experience, the League of Kitchens seeks to build cross-cultural connection and understanding, and increase access to traditional cooking knowledge.

For the Umami Edition of the League of Kitchens, participants are asked to sign up alone, without a partner or friend. Choose the date of your workshop, and a vegetarian or non-vegetarian menu–the location, cuisine, and culture of their workshop is a surprise.  Three days before the workshop, you will receive an email with directions to the location. Each immersion is 5.5 hours and includes 4-6 participants. Participants go home with a booklet of family recipes and a starter kit of specialty ingredients and spices.

Saturday and Sunday , April  5th and 6th.

1 – 6:30 PM

Tickets: $110.00
